Taoyuan Municipal Library covers a vast area, with an area of more than 46,000 square meters, making it the largest library in Taiwan. Taoyuan Municipal Library takes the concept of “Tree of life” as the concept, and the building covers five elements such as knowledge spiral conical environmental protection and energy saving ventilation and lighting well green spiral environmental protection bookshelf and earthquake-resistant wall. The building was awarded the highest honor of 「Excellence Award」 in the National Excellent Construction 「Best Planning and Design」 category in 2018.
It is suitable for sightseeing and leisure, but also has multiple functions such as performance culture and academic activities.
The library building alone is planned to have 8 floors above ground and 2 floors below ground. The 2nd to 7th floors are divided into age-group reading and parent-child study classrooms, youth reading and general reading collection area, local literature area, multi-function activity room, digital learning area and cloud library, etc. The 8th floor is an open landscape garden, and there is an air bridge connecting to the cinema building nearby.
