Gibeau Orange Julep is a must-eat place when you visit Montreal. You could see its iconic giant orange from miles away. This fast food restaurant isn’t in downtown Montreal but is along the highway, which is a perfect stop-by place for car drivers to eat. What’s even better? It has a giant parking lot, and people can either eat outside or eat in the car. If you don’t have a car, don’t worry, the nearest metro station, Namur, is only several minutes walk away.
Back to the restaurant, they serve hot dogs, hamburgers, fries, poutine (the iconic Quebec style dish, fries with gravy and cheese curds), and of course, the famous Orange Julep drinks. It may look like normal orange juice, but it’s different. It tastes creamier and… I don’t know how to describe it precisely, but one thing for sure, it’s worth a try.
I’m not a fast food enthusiast, in contrast, I’m more a healthy eater (at least I think I am lol), but this place is just so Montrealais that I’d suggest people visiting Montreal to stop by. Even though you don’t like fast food much (like me), you could still grab a cup of Orange Julep and enjoy!
