THE BEST PLACES TO VISIT IN A DAY ON FOOT IN MONTEVIDEO

If you are visiting Montevideo, I recommend that you start Google Maps and start enjoying this beautiful city of South America.
Whether you enter Uruguay by land, sea or air, you can start the circuit accordingly.
I will start at the port market, where you can eat a delicious barbecue or a chivito, a typical Uruguayan dish. keep in mind that it only opens from 10 am to 5 pm and you can get wifi.
Then you can continue to the Plaza de Armas, in the center of Montevideo, where you can see the Baloro building, where the tango was born. Continue to the Punta Carretas shopping center, where you can visit the different shops and rest for a while. From there you have to go to Punta Carretas lighthouse.
Admire the view at the southernmost point of Uruguay and head down the Rambla towards Playa de los Pocitos. Rest for a while and go now to the centanerio stadium, place of the first international football tournament. Finally, go to dinner at the farreras market, where you can taste different dishes such as Peruvian ceviche, hamburgers, pastas or other typical barbecue.
