The Battery Park is not a too big park but it’s a historical and well know park in Manhattan, New York. All the ferries operate to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty from the New York and it is from this Battery Park. So, if any tourist wants to visit the Ellis Island and Liberty Island you have to go through this park.
The Statue City Cruises operates ferries to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty from the Battery Park. The Ferry Boat operates from 9:00 AM to 4:30PM at Battery Park and you can also buy the ticket for the Statue of Liberty from here.

You can reach at this Battery Park using the nearest subways: Bowling Green, South Ferry Station, and Whitehall Street- South Ferry. Buses also available to reach to this park.
