As a traveling Local Guide, I’ve had the fortune of guiding millions of people through my photographs, which have already reached over 26 million views!
Today, I want to share my favorite experiences combining photography, light, and international flavors.
The Midday Sun on the Nile River, Egypt ![]()
One of my favorite moments occurred aboard a cruise boat floating down the mythical Nile River. It was around noon when the radiant sun hit directly on a plate full of fresh dark dates, juicy oranges, bananas, and traditional colorful sweets.
The natural light was so bright and perfect, reflecting the blue sky on the glass table. I managed to capture not only the vivid colors of the food but the true relaxing essence of Egyptian mysticism and traveling lifestyle in a single shot. ![]()
Tasting Italy: From Rome’s Perfect Pastas to Capri’s Coast ![]()
My culinary journey continued into the European continent, where Italy completely stole my heart through its lighting and flavors.
First, while exploring the historic streets of Rome, I captured the beautiful contrast of two classic Italian pasta dishes sharing the table under a warm, angled afternoon light:
- Penne Arrabiata: A vibrant plate of Penne pasta with a rich tomato sauce and a generous dusting of fresh Parmesan cheese.

- Linguine al Pesto: Right next to it, a comforting plate of Linguine showcasing a rich and creamy green basil sauce topped with grated cheese, paired with a classic small bottle of Italian wine.

The side-light hitting the wooden table made the red and green tones of this authentic Roman lunch pop beautifully!
Under the Lemon Trees of Capri
Then, traveling down to the coast, I had an unforgettable meal in Capri: a delicious Seafood Risottopaired with a vibrant, refreshing Limoncello Spritz. ![]()
The soft, filtered light of the coast created a wonderful visual harmony, contrasting the rich seafood with the bright yellow of the local limoncello. It perfectly captured the sea breeze and the culinary tradition of Italy.
My Photography Tip for Traveling Local Guides:
If you want your food photos to reach millions of views, always play with natural lighting! ![]()
- Use the intense midday sun to bring out textures and reflections (like I did in Egypt).
- Capture warm side-light on a wooden table to make your green and red dishes pop (like in Rome).
Real, natural light is what truly awakens a traveler’s appetite! ![]()
