I am a realtive newbie to photos on Google maps, but have given the subject some thought.
Photos on Google maps should perform a function. They should provide information on a location, so that persons will know what to expect from the businesses and recreational options available. They are also great for armchair travel. The who, what, when, why and how of the place. I try to bear this in mind and capture as many of these things as I can when submitting a photo.
This example, (a panorama), shows what to expect when visiting this part of the Kingston Heath Reserve. The sign identifies the location. We see the facilities there, such as the shelter, bbq, children’s playground and toilets. It is hopefully pleasing to the eye and tries to capture the atmosphere of the place.
