#TeamJapan - The longest shopping street in Tokyo - shopping Japan

Hello everyone!

First of all, I would like to thank you all.I am very honored to receive over 120♥ for my previous post(#TeamJapan - The oldest shopping street in Japan,shopping japan). Thank you very much.

Now, here is the longest shopping street in Tokyo. This post is long, not old.lol

The longest shopping street in Tokyo is Togoshi Ginza. Togoshi Ginza is a shopping district in Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo.Togoshi Ginza is 1300 meters long and has about 400 stores! Marty is enough distance to drive a Delorean and go back to Hill Valley 30 years ago.lol

It’s a wonderful shopping street full of charm that has no reason not to go if you travel to Tokyo.

First, I will explain why Togoshi Ginza is named Ginza. Why is Togoshi Ginza named Ginza even though it is not in Ginza?

This is very important, and it has a great influence on the names of shopping streets all over Japan.

The Togoshi shopping street was damaged by the Great Kanto Earthquake in 1923, and was lowland, so it suffered from flooding and the road became muddy every time it rained. Similarly, in Ginza, which was affected by the Great Kanto Earthquake, when we started a large-scale restoration with the aid of the government, the brick used for road paving was removed and turned into asphalt, and a large amount of rubble from Ginza It became. In Togoshi shopping street, we picked up Ginza bricks that were no longer needed and laid them on the road for use in drainage and sewage works.

Togoshi’s early recovery from the earthquake was largely due to bricks received from Ginza. The name of Togoshi Ginza received bricks from Ginza.

Togoshi Ginza is not only the longest shopping street in Tokyo, but also an epoch-making shopping street that has caused the Ginza revolution in the name of the Japanese shopping street.

Over 300 XX Ginza shopping streets throughout Japan are modeled after Togoshi Ginza.

It is the real pleasure of Togoshi Ginza that the shops are lined up. Let’s have a pleasant walk!

Togoshi Ginza

Vegetable store. You can buy fresh vegetables at a reasonable price.

Why don’t you buy fruit for breakfast at Togoshi Ginza?It will surely be a delicious breakfast you will never forget. Unforgettable breakfast is not determined by price, but by fun and deliciousness.

A fried food shop. If you are a little hungry, buy something and eat. There are also fried foods only available at Togoshi Ginza that you can only eat here.

Togoshi croquettes. It is very delicious and unforgettable. It is a very delicious taste that encourages conversation. And cheap! I don’t know any other food that makes conversation so much fun at this price.

後藤蒲鉾店(GOTO KAMABOKO SHOP)

here is also a delicious sushi restaurant if you are more hungry. First of all, enjoy delicious Japanese green tea and enjoy conversation. It’s also a good idea to discuss where to go shopping next.

Eating delicious sushi will make your conversation more exciting and make you all smile. It will surely be an unforgettable meal.

Good evening. thank you for your comment. You thought of a great plan! I will also participate in your plan. As you say, fresh vegetables can be bought early in the morning. The meaning of Japanese ramen is noodles.:ramen:

A more general term is ramen.

Both are meaningful,ramen,noodles,needless work😁

Thank you very much. Regard🍜

I’ve been to Tokyo multiple times in the past, but never heard about this street before @955HIRO ! Looks like I have a new goal next time I’m back in Tokyo. Thanks for sharing the photos as well!

What do you think about the sushi place you shared in the post? Is it considered a touristy place, or is it something more that locals would visit?

Good evening. thank you for your comment. You have been to Japan many times. Togoshi Ginza is a shopping street that is so popular that feature articles appear on TV and magazines. If you come to Japan next time, please take a walk around Togoshi Ginza. In addition to Togoshi Ginza, Yanaka Ginza is also famous and very popular. I will share the album of Yanaka Ginza. The sushi restaurant introduced in the topic seems to be visited by many foreigners. I called the sushi restaurant and asked. The shop staff said that they wrote a fish picture and fish name on a cup of tea because they wanted customers to have fun eating sushi. Thank you very much. Regard

Hey @955HIRO thank you so much for this master piece :slightly_smiling_face: What to say about Ginza, a place where you can find the best fashion, gourmet, beauty, and other luxurious ways to spend. I was there 2 years ago with some friends and I was very surprised when I saw a cat with scarf lying and posing for a picture. What the deal is with this cat I don’t know, but with their fancy fashion and plainly un-feral appearance, it certainly seems like they are well looked after.

@Izumi
