Thank you very much for your valuable feedback. I am really very happy to note that you found my post interesting and educational.
Kolam is an incredible aspect of Indian Culture.
Home made butter got out of cow’s milk must be used. Nowadays packaged butter is used. Salted butter should not be used to be taken in empty stomach.
Thanks again for showing interest.
@TravellerG and @DeniGu a big thanks for you both for your kind words of appreciation.
@Gurukrishnapriya I was doing a Google search on butter and just wanted to confirm that you’re not referring to ghee, right? I don’t think I would know the difference between the two (taste wise) so would be interesting to test them out. However, I don’t usually cook with butter and never with ghee.
Ghee is different and butter is different. Ghee is got from butter. As vegetarians we are dependent on butter as well as ghee. When we heat butter and boil it till required ghee is got. Taste also differs.
@Gurukrishnapriya thanks for sharing the information about some temples in Tamil Nadu. The pictures are beautiful.
Thanks a lot for your valuable feedback. Happy to note that you liked the pictures.

Hi @Gurukrishnapriya @TravellerG
Thank you very much for the beautiful writeup. What an explicit and implicit presentation of your heritage. I hear that the art is 7000 years old. Kolam reminds mea type of performing art unique in Sri Lanka originated from the south western coastal region. The same patterns and colours were used for the masks for the partly spiritual and partly entertaining dances.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVeV04GXnM8
