Hi @TravellerG
Yes Sir, what you mentioned is correct. In spite of so much destruction, the Hampi sites are so adorable. How much heritage and culture, our history has. It’s really great that we could regain atleast some. The wealth during the time of Krishna Devaraya can be understood by the fact that gems, precious stones, gold ornaments etc., were sold on the streets.
I am happy that I can do something to pass on some facts which I know.
Thanks for posting the picture of the beautiful Temple, which is an engineering marvel.
There’s one place inside the Temple, where the shadow of the Gopuram falls on the wall in an inverted position at a particular time. I had the chance to see the inverted shadow. It’s really wonderful.
Thanks for your compliments.
Thanks for contacting me in What’sApp…
Shall be touch with you according to your convenience, @RohithaF

@Gurukrishnapriya Thanks a lot for your valuable suggestions.Sure, Will come up with some post very soon.
Hi @Gurukrishnapriya ,
Thank you so much for the tag! I really loved learning more about Marghazhi, the most auspicious month in the Tamil calendar.
I thought that Christmas was a great celebration on its own, but when you combine it with weeks of songs, celebrations, devotion, cleansing and meditation, it becomes wonderful! Does your community look forward to Marghazhi every year? I know I would!
I like your explanation of why the time between 4 and 6 am is the best time to wake up and start your day. Exactly for the reasons you mentioned, I might try to get up at that time, too, and feel the freshness of the morning. What time do you usually go to bed during Marghazhi?
And also, do you draw the kolams on the street? What do they represent?
Hi @DeniGu
Thank you very much for your wonderful reply. Yes we do look forward for this month. At the end of this month i.e. January 14, starts the festival of Harvest. We will buy new dress. This is a 4 day long festival. I will be posting about that in my next post, after the festival.
Yes we draw kolams in streets. This is an every day practice. This is to welcome Goddess of wealth. Main reason to keep surroundings clean. In this month we draw big kolams. Long time exposure to fresh and cool air. Here we long for cool climate like you love warm climate.
@TravellerG has asked me to write a post on this topic with traditional pictures.
I never expected this post will attract lots of interesting clarifications. I am really very happy for all the compliments got.
Thanks again for your valuable feedback.
You’re introducing a really interesting part of your culture and tradition, @Gurukrishnapriya , so don’t be surprised by the amount of attention your post attracts!
I find every detail and ritual related to this month fascinating. Thank you for answering my questions and sharing even more insights!
Thanks a lot dear friend @DeniGu for your valuable time to support our LG @Gurukrishnapriya …
You are extremely right DeniGu, the content is strong, the interactions also will be high…
Congrats to Gurukrishnapriya too…
Brief, but powerful answers… dear @Gurukrishnapriya
All the best…
Nice post @Gurukrishnapriya and very educational! It’s been a while since I’ve seen a kolam in person! Back in Malaysia, it’s quite common and popular. Here in the UK, it’s harder to find.
Out of curiosity, you mentioned butter… is it handmade butter? When I think of butter, it’s the block of butter that I buy from a store but I’m not sure if it’s different since there’s more significance for you.
