From Connect Live Mexico to Montréal: Introducing #TeamMaple!
Sometimes, the most meaningful connections happen when you least expect them.
After an unforgettable experience at Connect Live Mexico 2026, something special happened on our way back home.
@LuisMGonzalez and I crossed paths at Mexico City International Airport, both heading back to Montréal. What started as a conversation between two Local Guides quickly turned into an exciting idea: What if we joined forces to bring our local community closer together?
And that’s how Local Guides Montréal #TeamMaple !
began!
We both share a love for exploring, discovering new places, contributing to Google Maps, and connecting with people from different backgrounds. But above all, we believe that one of the best parts of being a Local Guide is the people we meet along the way.
Inspired by communities around the world
We’ve seen the amazing things that Local Guides communities around the world have accomplished, and it’s truly inspiring!
Communities like Argentina Local Guides, Mexico Local Guides, Canada, Brazil, India Local Guides, Bangladesh Local Guides, and many others have shown how much can happen when people come together and share their passion.
We know we’re just getting started, and there’s so much we can learn from their experiences. We’d love to hear their stories, exchange ideas, and get a few tips from those who have been bringing Local Guides together for years! Share some tips with us!
With #TeamMaple, we’d love to create a welcoming space where Local Guides can connect, explore our beautiful city, share experiences, and contribute to Google Maps together.
We’re excited about the possibility of organizing meet-ups, discovering hidden gems, welcoming new members, and celebrating the diversity that makes Montréal so special.
We don’t know exactly where this journey will take us, but we’re excited to find out together, one connection and one meet-up at a time.
