I actually stay in Lagos Nigeria, Oshodi to be precise (Center Of Lagos 
) and I would say I use Motorcycle (Known as Okada here) more often than I use “Marwa” as I prefer to call it .
Unfortunately Yesterday 5/6/2020 we all woke up to a “No Okada” Oshodi which is actually scary as Marwa doesn’t get to all the nooks and crannies of this area so we have to navigate with Marwa and do a lot of trekking (which no one wants to do 
). We hope the government should allow them back even though this Governor have said both “Keke Marwa and Okada” are to be phased out as they are not part of his vision of a “Mega City” which Lagos is 
On a lighter note the apprenticeship system you talked about in your Article is called “imu ahia” (imu- To learn , ahịa- market ).
