Kurikomachaya is a shaved ice shop that was reformed from an old Japanese-style house in Ichinoseki. Old Japanese-style houses have good cross ventilation and are comfortable to hang out in summer. And of course, it is photogenic.
The shaved ice is very soft like cotton and goes well with special sauces or fruits. The toppings of this shop are unique, such as radish and veggies: it is also an interesting point for me. There are standard flavors and a simple one too, enjoy selecting your favorite one. It may be a little small. In that case, let’s try tapioca milk too.

[Japanese] 栗駒茶屋のかき氷！
ここ数年人気のふわふわなかき氷ですが、岩手でもしっかりと堪能できるお店があります。こちらは一関市にある栗駒茶屋さん。古民家を改装した趣のある店内で、単純に甘いだけではない、野菜などを使った独自のテイストを楽しめるかき氷をいただくことができます。ちょっと山中に入らなければいけないのですが、他ではなかなか味わうことができない一品です。これからの暑い季節、もし近くに行くことがあればぜひ立ち寄ってみてください。
ちなみにかき氷以外のメニューもあります。数年前には大人気だったものの今は多くの店が消えてしまったタピオカミルクですが、こちらでは変わらずに提供しているようです。
