Hi @OmerAli , I used to solo skydive when I was in the Royal New Zealand Air Force, so got my initial experience and addiction from then on. Over recent years I’ve been doing Tandem because my attention isn’t as good as it used to be and after a couple of close calls, I didn’t think it was wise to jump solo anymore. Any type of skydiving does have its dangers but at least there are two of us that can make a decision now. As much as I would like too do more, my wife doesn’t want me to do any more jumps.
If you get the chance, do it because it is such an adrenaline kick.
Honestly I am not afraid to jump. Initially it was due to busy work life and because I was based in Pakistan and the closest Skydiving location was in Dubai, so I kept thinking for almost 2 years.
3 years since we are married, my wife keeps coming up with excuses not to do it and therefore whatever we plan for adventures never includes anything that’s got something to do with flying.
I am in Malaysia currently and your post made me look for skydiving clubs over here.
That experience gives me a birthday gift idea for a friend who is adrenaline addicted, @TheEagleEye . Thank you for sharing once again. Who was your skydiving buddy?
Thanks for sharing your photos @TsekoV . I have been to Cambodia but not Angkor Wat, which will be at another time. Balloon ride will be something to consider.
For skydiving, it takes about 10 minutes to get to jump altitude, then the freefall after jumping from plane is about 45 seconds before deploying chute. Life is worth enjoying so doing things like this is fun. I hope you get to do one day.
@TsekoV I used to do solo skydiving when I was in the Royal New Zealand Air Force. I enjoyed it right from the start and did many many jumps at some very interesting places. I enjoyed running and jumping out the back of a Hercules aircraft. This video will show you but note it isn’t me although did very much the same https://youtu.be/RptyiY8lxWk
I took up Tandem Skydiving as a safety thing because my attention wasn’t as good as it used to be. Now I’ve stopped skydiving altogether as my wife asked me to stop.
I skydived solo for 20 plus years before doing tandem.
It looks fantastic!!! Is it possible to try it even if I never jumped? How did you get to this? Did you reserve it instead or through some website? I am going to Jordan and I would like to try it on the Wadi Rum desert.
