The toughest part about Solo traveling is getting your own pictures clicked. Who will do that for me? Should I ask random strangers? Will they get the perfect frame because I am too shy to ask for retakes.
Lately I am clicking less pictures and trying to live the moment. However I do look out for people willing to get clicked and they can return the favor by clicking my pictures. Win-Win situation.
I am pretty bad at striking a pose but you can always Google some travel photography inspirations to get it right always.
You and me both @trippinouttatown with regards to posing for pics. That’s why I do most of the shooting or producing in my line of work - prefer to be behind the camera
I totally understand what you mean! Most of the times, I prefer not to ask people as they usually don’t do it the way I’m thinking and it ends up bad. What I’ve done recently is use the timer on my phone, which has been helpful as you can set it the way you want with no one around. Have you tried this option?
I have this issue too when solo traveling @trippinouttatown . I love your idea of looking out for people that may want to be photographed themselves. I usually don’t ask either, though I think I will work on it.
I like your point of view. Also, I can add - the less you take pictures of yourself - take more pictures of the world around you - better remember what you saw not yourself.
I often travel with my man or with some friends who share it with us, but we just don’t like taking pictures of ourselves or each other but I love photographing architecture and street views. What is photographed is remembered well. For me, it works. I try to not forget to live the moment, of course, I more try to save it.
