Perhaps one of the most amazing things I have ever done in my life (so far) was seeing Neuschwanstein Castle in person. It holds the prestige of being the inspiration for Walt Disney’s castle and is more breathtaking than I could have imagined.
While trip planning for a stay in Innsbruck, Austria I was scrolling through Google Maps for inspiration when I came across the castle and immediately knew I had to go. Luckily I was able to find a booking in tripadvisor for a personal tour guide to take you to the castles. Booking that trip was the single best decision I have ever made, I now have memories to last a lifetime.
If you ever find yourself in the south of Germany or western Austria, plan to take a trip to see both Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau Castle’s, they are well worth the time.
