Tagging Photos posted to Google Maps

Can you tag photos you have posted on Google Maps and if so how?

Hola @leannemf Bienvenido a Connect!

Espero haberte ayudado.

Saludos

Thanks - yes I did that but I was not aware that was tagging just a way of providing a caption

Hello @leannemf

Tagging allows grabbing somebody’s attention. That also serves as a quick link sometimes.
However, this traditional concept of tagging is not there anywhere in Maps.
The captions to a photo serve to clarify the contributor’s explanation about that pic. Further, that becomes highly useful to visually weakened users who resort using assistive technologies like screen readers to understand a picture.
Nevertheless, if you wish to introduce tagging functionality, you can suggest that in the Idea Exchange.

Hello @leannemf ,

Thanks for reaching out! I see that fellow Local Guides have already shared their tips with you.

In addition to that, I am marking @C_T 's reply as a solution, so other Local Guides can refer to it. The purpose of this feature is to help Local Guides find answers when searching on the Connect. Please take a look at How do I mark comments as solutions? article.

I have moved your post to How-tos, as there your question would have a better exposure of audience.
