Hey guys!
Last year I was invited by a close relative to spend a week in Switzerland with her. She had been invited to a 007 themed party in Horgen and was allowed to bring a friend with her. I was lucky enough to be picked.
When we arrived at Zurich Airport and I was a little confused by all the Swiss German signs. This was my first encounter with a language so different to my own.
We managed to make our way to the hotel and shortly after went for a walk. I was amazed with what I was seeing. These beautifully picturesque streets made me feel like I was in a fairytale.
We took a nice long walk up and down the local lake and I felt I was truly enjoying life.
The very next day we attended the party and the location was high up in a place called Horgen
The view was absolutely amazing!
I can’t even begin to describe how amazing the party was. It was probably the most luxurious event I have been to. I was born and raised in Colombia and never did I imagine I would one day end up on the other side of the world in such a breath taking experience.
The more I went out, the more I discovered how special and amazing Swiss people are. I must admit my sense of direction is not the best and I got lost a few times but people just went out of their way to help me. What a bunch of lovely, friendly and helpful people!
We also had the chance to visit Lucerne and I’m so glad I did. Now this was the true fairytale! Never have I seen such beautiful views. A truly spectacular place.
My recommendation to everyone is to sacrifice a bit of time and money and make the effort to visit the beautiful country. For me, its not as affordable as visiting Spain (my usual destination) but boy is it worth it!
The sights, people and just the ambience will make it a unique trip. Believe me when I say; you will be so happy you went.
Thank you Switzerland, you gave me the trip of a lifetime!
