I was very much fascinated and thrilled to meet Malasian Local Guides during my visit to Malaysia.
My original plan to visit Singapore and Malaysia with my daughter was in this month. Since I got invite to Connect Live Bangalore, we preponed our visit to August. In a very short span of time we had to plan our tour.
During covid we had many virtual meetups and I was in regular contacts with many Local Guides throughout the world. I can proudly say that I have friends everywhere.
There wasn’t much time for me to apply for a meetup. I just informed my Malaysian counterparts @StephenAbraham and @SumaiyaZafrin that I am visiting Malaysia and whether we could meet, which they readily accepted. According to my tour itinerary I arrived in Malaysia on 17th of August and had some time to spare in the evening on 18th of August only.
@SumaiyaZafrin greeted me sis (she calls me sis) and told she along with her husband @PavelSarwar will host me a dinner. @StephenAbraham too was invited by them and he accepted to meet us for the dinner.

It gives a great pleasure in meeting Local Guides far away from our country. We met at Banana Brisoto Banana Leaf for dinner. It took me sometime for me to find the place. Google Maps helped me. We had a chit chat about our journey as a Local Guide.
By then the dinner was served in a banana leaf (speciality of the restaurant) in South Indian style and I never felt I am away from home.
It was really a pleasant surprise meetup filled with more surprises for me. After dinner I was gifted by SumaiyaZafrin a flute and original coffee 3-in-one powder of Malaysia.
I was hosted like a very special guest and I will ever cherish this vip treatment by our Local Guides Community. I am very thankful for the kind gesture. They were there till I am seen off.
SumaiyaZafrin and Pavel booked me the cab back to my hotel abd bid me farewell. Thanks a ton @SumaiyaZafrin , @PavelSarwar and @StephenAbraham for hosting the surprise meetup and will never forget your kind generosity.
