Suramadu Bridge

Today, March 17th, 2019 I went to Suramadu Bridge to attend an events “Millenials Road Safety Festival” of East Java. Because of this event, this longest bridge in Indonesia was closed this morning. 70.000 participants of this event must walk cross the bridge. And these are what I got today.

This bridge is connecting Java Island (in North Surabaya) and Madura Island (in East Kamal, Bangkalan), it crosses the Madura Strait with length of 5.438m. Since October 2018, President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo made it no more toll fee. So, Madura people and Surabayan (people of Surabaya) can go to each other place easily.

This bridge is one of recommended attraction in North Surabaya like I said in my previous post.
