Surabaya or ‘Suroboyo’ is one of the biggest city in Indonesia. It is known as the City of Heroes because of the fighting in this city on November 10, 1945. Which was where the fighters lowered the Dutch flag and killed the Dutch leader named General Mallaby. This battle is part of the history of the founding of the Indonesian nation (
Battle of Surabaya).
I have been here for 4 years, studied at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember and i really know everything about Surabaya because i have fallen in love to this city. Surabaya has many bridges as a highway or inter-city link, like Suramadu Bridge. But, There is also a bridge that is used as a place of entertainment for people, Jembatan Suroboyo or Jembatan Kenjeran. Usually, people running, taking pictures or enjoying the view here at sunrise or sunset. There are no cars or motorcylce, just people walking around here. In the night, it shows the dancing fountain with beautiful colors.
