#Supporting small women business owner

This is in addition by me for supporting “women owned business” by @Globe_trotter_Ish

here is my small contribution to the amazing challenge. This story inspire me to share with all of you.

During one of my recent visits to Jammu from 21st April to 24th April 2025 ,
Since the crisis impacted whole State of Pahalgam
I was looking for some moderate restaurant to have food as I am vegetarian so was looking for something of my kind.

I found a restaurant in the heart of Jammu City, named ETZ by Keemti Jain.
This was a pure vegetarian restaurant, however the distinctive feature is that it is owned and operated by only women.
Starting from the owner to the staff, every woman plays a pivotal role in the functioning of the business. They have a staff of around 15, and all of them are employed locally, which gives more impetus to local employment.
I had an inspiring talk with the owner, Keemti Jain who is an independent and self motivated individual women and always believed in contributing to the society and emphasis on women empowerment. Hence, she got this idea of starting her own restaurant which would be owned and operated exclusive by women.

She spent months trying to hire locals who align with her goals and objectives.
She is like a proud mother to see her baby restaurant blossom in the right path and today this is one of the popular small vegitarian cafe and talk of the town.

All pic taken by me.

The restaurant serves delicious vegetarian food, and they have a refreshing ambience, perfect for meet-ups with friends and family.
Lot of women come regularly for exclusive women kitty party here,
They serve traditional Jammu cuisine. They also have Chinese, South Indian and North Indian cuisines. (Jain food available on request).

Location : It is the most conveniently located beside the Jain temple and is walking distance from Jammu Railway station in Bahu plaza area

Excellent post, @Anil6969. It’s a very difficult task running an “all women restaurant” anywhere, and I’m happy to know that they are doing a great work and setting up a good example of women’s empowerment.

Cheers!
