Sunder Nursery is a heritage park spread over a landscape of 90 acre. Earlier, it was also known as Azim Bagh[1] during Mughal era. This place was used to propagate plants in the capital and also for testing species brought from other parts of our country.
Sunder Nursery mainly constitutes of three parts – a garden, a biodiversity zone and the restored monuments. In this post, my focus is to highlight on Plants and Biodiversity parts available in this beautiful nursery.
Plants conservation is a great step towards supporting Sustainability. In this nursery there are varieties of plants with their own significance. Some of the plant species in this nursery support a diverse ecosystem. It provides rich bio-habitat for microcosm, bird, butterflies and flowers.
Sunder Nursery provides a protected bird habitat for the ground nesting national bird, the peacock.
Sunder Nursery has over dozens of varieties of flowers growing in its various flower beds.
Sunder Nursery is a very happening place and is also used for photography and video shoot.
Sunder Nursery is also a great place to enjoy the picnic with family and friends. This place is full of crowd during the months of January to March.
