Pixel and I spent a Sunday out with Pegman recently.
It was an early start. The first place we visited was Crossway Baptist Church. There was a Christmas gift giving tree which Pegman had a closer look at. He thought he liked the view from up there better than my pocket.
In the foyer was a slide which led down to the children’s area. Pegman thought the slide looked fun and wanted to go down it. I told him I didn’t think it would be a good idea to do it on his own. Perhaps we could do it some other day together.
Lunch at the Shangri La Inn was next on the agenda. On the way there we spied a phone box. Pegman found the push buttons fascinating. He also tried to hide from me among the outdoor seating.
There was a $2 discount variety store nearby and we paid that a visit too. Pegman wondered what it’d be like to hitch a ride on one of the hats. He also played hide and seek with me among some of the wares – but I spotted him quite easily.
During lunch, Pegman wanted a closer look at the Char Kway Teow and Har Mee Prawn Noodle soup. The tantalising smells made his mouth water.
In the afternoon Pegman had a snooze while I went for a walk with my son and the family pet.
After Pegman woke up from his snooze, he got himself ready for a night out for an end of year Christmas Party with a group of my friends. There were many dishes for Pegman to check out. At the end of the meal, one of my friends got a surprise birthday cake.
Pegman was yawning his head off while we were driving home – that was until he saw some Christmas decorations in front of a house, then he perked up and got his second wind.
I had difficulties tucking him back into bed when we got home. But I soon said good night to him until next time.
So I said good night to him until next time.
