Hi @alint
Thanks for sharing this lovely photo. Could you tell us more about this place? Do you live there? What camera did you use here? Have you edited your photo or is this the original?
It’s always good to add some text for other Local Guides to read and learn more about new places here. I’m sure it will be very interesting for others to know about Mangalia.
Thank you.
Thanks a lot for your appreciation @DanniS . The Port of Mangalia is the most modern Romanian port intended for small tourist vessels that sail along the Black Sea coast. The port was set up in 2006-2008 with European and local funding. Up to 146 boats can land in the Mangalia tourist port, benefiting from modern mooring and maintenance facilities.
Located just 2 days of sailing to Odessa in Ukraine, 1 day to Varna in Bulgaria and a couple of hours to Constanta or to the Danube Delta and enjoying ideal conditions for mooring and vessels’ maintenance, the Mangalia Marina is the starting point for short coastal trips in the immediate vicinity, with stopovers in Vama Veche , 2 Mai , Limanu , Venus , Neptun , Olimp , Costinesti , Eforie Sud , Eforie Nord , Agigea , Constanta, Mamaia or Midia . Larger boats can follow longer coastal shipping routes within the perimeter Istanbul-Varna-Mangalia-Odessa-Yalta. Short boat tours are available.
The Mangalia Marina, together with the Varna Marina from Bulgaria are the hosts of the BMW Black Sea International Regatta, which is organized annually by Romania Yacht Club, Bulgaria LZ Yachting 1991 and Odessa International Yacht Club.
I dont live here in Mangalia, but almost every year I spent a week
s vacantion at a resort from the Black Sea coast. The photo was made with a 8 mp camera of my phone and is edited using Adobe Lightroom.
Also, I will make a post with the best places to visit from the city of Mangalia soon, which is, in my opinion, one of the most interesting touristic places from the Black Sea coast.
