Mastani is a mix of milkshake and ice cream.

There are countless Mastani Brands in Pune.
Sujata Mastani is the top among those and also the most popular.

They have a branch on Baner Road very close to my house, but I had an opportunity to visit their main shop in Old Town Pune last week.

@Rushikesh_joshi and @Kuldip_Patil were also with me.
We walked there from the Kelkar Museum after the meetup.

They have two shops split by a street. The bigger one opens in the evening and the smaller one opens in the morning. We went there in the morning.

Here is their limited menu, and they only accept old-school cash.

Sujata Mastani is famous for its signature Mastani, a rich and creamy milkshake topped with ice cream.

It cost me around ₹110, but the taste was heavenly that words can’t describe.
The rich, creamy texture and the burst of flavors make it a must-try dessert

I feel that this is a big price tag…
At least one Shop is serving excellent milk-ice ream shakes less than 80…that too a very big mug… me & my wife share it as for one person it is too much.
The Shop looks decent… though cash only policy is too much outdated…

Once a product becomes legendary, like Sujata Mastani, :plus: they maintain the quality, they simply extract money for their popularity.

The ₹110 was for a smaller cup. The regular one costs ₹200 @TravellerG, which is out of budget for common people.

The name Sujata Mastani sounds as cool as the drink itself which is very refreshing in this harsh heat. Milkshake topped with icecream is the ultimate solution to beat the heat. Thank you for sharing this delicious drink, I will remember this name :face_savoring_food: @TusharSuradkar

Some places in pune which are unique for me for Mastani that is sujata Mastani,kaware Mastani then Durga cafe.I like Mastani very much mango dryfruit mastani is favourite one thanks for sharing.

I came to know about Kawre Mastani recently.
Also, Durga Cafe is famous for its coffee.
So they have come up with Coffee Mastani :smiley: I am going to try it :+1:

@TusharSuradkar sir looks like Pune has countless native brand ice cream shops, I guess, I’d definitely put on more weight if I stayed there. :sweat_smile:
