I knew how to upload 360 degree photo spheres when the Street View app was still an option. I still do but am having trouble finding a camera that can be mounted to a helmet so I can take Street View images while I walk.
I know how to drive. However, no vehicle or auto insurance in the USA prevent me from using that route. Do you have suggestions regarding cameras designed for taking these 360 degree photo spheres while mounted on a helmet? I use an iPhone and MacBook also. Unless the camera is Apple compatible, please do not suggest. I will spend what I need to update Google Maps in Street View. I am in Arkansas usually but will be in Colorado, Pittsburgh, and Texas during August. If I have a camera, I plan to take it with me. If I selected the wrong topic, please correct it.
When the Street View app was disabled the way to take and upload Street View 360 photos changed completely. Right now to create a blue line you will have to upload a video.
All the information about devices and the procedures can be found here:
In addition, as you have the SVTP badge, you can find additional tips in the Street View trusted Help Center, accessible to Trusted Photographers only.
I recall the change requiring a camera that takes the full 360º photo spheres when the other app was retired. I just got about every result you might be able to think when I attempted to search for 360 degree cameras mountable on a helmet for Street View images for Google Maps. Thank you for the link. That was my problem. Grazie
As you can read in Questions about Street View? Read this first“As of July 19, 2021, new enrollments into the Street View trusted program are put on hold. At this time, we do not award the trusted badge to new contributors who’ve reached the minimum number of photos for membership”
Please do not remove this. However, I purchased a GoPro Max, helmet, mount, etc. I will need the route into the other group(s) once the camera arrives. For anybody that suggested any particluar camera, thank you. Yes, I know this is directed to me.
