After many failed attempts trying to reach someone who could help out with my getting stuck somewhere as a Level 9 Google Maps Local Guide (I guess my reach outs did not get to anybody but perhaps machines) I have decided to use this platform in Local Guides Connect.
My challenge: My edit counter on my dashboard will not tally with my Fact Finder badge edits counts. I had for long been a Master Fact Finder and suddenly found the badge drop to Novice level! Added efforts in my edits have not been recognised since. I have been totally discouraged in contributing to the overall Local Guide activities with this frustrating experience. (I no more feel motivated to upload videos, photos, reviews, new places, etc). All email attempts to reach someone at Google had failed. I hope this avenue helps to solve the problem. It has been on for more than four years now!

Sorry about this experience. If you feel as I do, it must have been very frustrating. For once, I am having someone to talk with on this problem. Let us work together to get the right ear to hear, and, hopefully, work us through to desired solutions.

@AdeoluOdusote , I’m pretty new to this, but have grown at an exponential pace. BUT, although my account is still active, my Total Picture Views got stuck last week. I saw a post earlier this morning that someone had completely lost all their views and pics, yet they’re a level 9. I’m quite surprised to see these kind of problems from a company who is the leader in dealing with big data. I’m actually taken back by your comments regarding not finding adequate help to solve the issue. My life is quite full without any side projects, which includes contributing to Google Maps. If the support is lacking for those who give their valuable time to update/create/edit maps and businesses, I can’t help but think the amount of talent that’s been lost due to frustration. We can only HOPE that nothing goes wrong during our helpful journey. But when it does, I’m in the same boat with you in regards as to what to do. Thanks for your post. - Steve

Thanks for the link regarding Checking Facts. My previous comment really had to do with something happening with people’s data. It was quite obvious that there was a problem with the first post I read this morning. He provided a link to his contribution page, and there were ZERO reviews or pictures, yet when you clicked on his name, there were enough of both to get him to Level 9. I’m fearful that I’ll become part of that statistic. I’m curious how some have made it all the way to 11B views, and should probably ask them whether they’ve experienced any issues along the way. - Steve

The problem I am facing is that I have not received any tasks related to the “Verify Edits” task within the Fact Finder Badges section. Occasionally, I do receive questions in the “Verify the Edit” corner, where I promptly provide accurate answers. However, despite my efforts, I have not been awarded any points or recognition for these contributions.
To further illustrate the problem, when I check my profile statistics, it displays a disheartening zero count for “Verify Edits.” This discrepancy is quite puzzling, as I have actively engaged in reviewing and verifying edits made by other users, and I believe my contributions should have been acknowledged accordingly.

I Think that there is a difference between “Checking Facts” and EDITING FACTS" I can check facts, but i need to EDIT facts to get more points. This i can not find on my iphone??
