StreetView for its 15th birthday gives you a free Google car!

Yes, for its 15th birthday StreetView gives you a Google car and you can drive it through the streets of your city! WOW!!

Just open the Google Maps app on your smartphone, request and start driving directions: now you just need to hold down on the arrow-shaped indicator and from here you can select the Google car used for the fantastic StreetView tours!

Well … what did you think … to have a real car as a gift?

For those who want to stay at home, you can have fun with Pegman all happy in Google Maps for desktop: here he is with a nice balloon and themed hat!

Let’s join LocalGuides too to celebrate StreetView’s 15 years! :birthday: :cake: :tada:

I was about to make that post hahaha @davidhyno

This is a great way to celebrate Street View, I don’t how long will it be available, if you remember Mario Kart was avalilable for a week, I hope this stays forever :grinning:

I wonder, why is the camera array red instead of blue as the new ones?

Hi dear @LaloPadilla !

I just think it’s just a “stylistic compromise”: blue is already the layout of the road, yellow would be seen too little!
Or maybe, it’s just the Googler’s favorite color who designed the car!

Bye,

David

The red camera array (previous) had more cameras and was bigger, the new one is blue, smaller and has fewer cameras.

Everbody is used to the red one @davidhyno and as you said it is more visible maybe that was the reason

YeeeAA, i received mine and it’s now in our parking, they should provide a manual for it as well about when to change the oil and stuff you know…

I thought this little “Easter Egg” was absolutely adorable!

I also enjoy trip of this free google car :joy: @davidhyno

@davidhyno thank you for sharing. I thought it was a real car though. I wouldn’t mind if Google and let Local Guides experience Street View activities being inside one of those vehicles.
