Today, I took a walk down East Veli Street in Madurai, a stretch that quietly powers much of Tamil Nadu’s movement of goods and essentials. While Chennai is the state’s capital, Madurai has always been the true connector, linking villages, towns, and cities across the map.
As I walked past one transport office after another, I could sense how vital they are for everyday life—moving food, business goods, construction materials, and essentials across regions. Each office and signboard told a story, not just of business, but of connections between farmers, traders, and families waiting at the other end.
During my walk:
-
I managed to review a few offices,
-
Took storefront photos for others,
-
And even added some missing places to Google Maps to help future users.
Many are still pending verification, but once approved, they’ll make finding and using these services much easier for everyone.
Transport Offices I Covered Today:
-
AMS Sri Kumar Transport
-
E Masthan Lorry Booking Office
-
Sri Pon Vilas Transport
-
Sri Manickam Booking Lorry Office
-
Thangakani Transport
Walking back, I realized this wasn’t just about lorry services—it was about how Madurai’s transport offices are the lifeline connecting cities to villages, sustaining trade, and keeping the state moving.
