I’ve always uploaded my 360 photos using the Street View app on my android phone. I took a break from 360 photos but now that I’m back the most recent version of the Street View app is no longer reading the GPS data on my 360 photos taken with my XPhase s2 camera. I know the GPS data is in the photo I can see it’s there. If I open the 360 photos using Google Photos on my Pixel 4 phone, it has no problem reading the GPS data and showing me on the map where it was taken.

Street View is no longer supported out of Connect @jberry I suggest you take it up at the Street View Trusted Photographer help portal https://support.google.com/street-view-trusted#topic=9365282
I do note that your camera does not seem to be in the supported list https://www.google.com/streetview/contacts-tools/

以前のStreet View Appはリスティングの検索時に位置情報を元に候補が表示されましたが、最近のバージョンでは候補が表示されません。
検索キーワードを入力すると候補が表示されます。

@Yotaroh In the past, importing a photo with GPS, Street View app would show on the map exactly where the photo was taken. I would move it around a little bit if the GPS was wrong slightly. Next I would enter a search to pick the map listing
Now when I import it has no location. When I edit the map location, the map starts at my current position,not where the photo was taken.
I’ve tried on my Pixel 4 and Pixel 3a phones. I gave one of my photos to a friend online and it imports correctly onto his IPhone.

Hi @jberry , I am sorry about your issue.
I agree with you, importing a 360 photo, even if taken with a different (non compatible with SV App) device, should work.
Most of the time I follow the same procedure with my Theta V, as I prefer to shot with the App of the device (more control over the camera) than with the App.

@ErmesT Right now I’m unsure if it could just be something with my phone. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling. The last thing I could try is resetting my whole phone but I’m trying to avoid that.

This is clear for me, @jberry , but I don’t have enough experience for giving you a more helpful reply and, as mentioned by @PaulPavlinovich , Street View is no longer supported in the community. It means that you cannot have a direct feedback from a Street View Moderator. That’s why I tagged a Local Guide with much more experience. He’s located in Japan, so he’s probably sleeping in this moment, but I am quite sure that he can help you

I think the fact that what you used to do with the Street View app can’t be done with the latest devices and apps today can be confusing to you.
Compared to the situation in 2018, the Street View app has dramatically changed (reduced) its functionality.
I never used the camera you are using.
If you like, let me use the photo(Jpeg) you couldn’t import correctly.
That way, I can report here how the photo behaves in my environment.
Also, I think that you are doing various processing to make the photo (Jpeg), so please tell us the procedure of the processing method.
And what is the difference between the riverside photo that is currently being uploaded to the correct coordinates and the photo that is having trouble?

ダウンロードしてStreet View appにインポートし、正しく位置が表示されるか確認してください。
最近のStreet View appは場所の表示に時間がかかるので、少し待つ必要が有ります。
暫く待っても表示されない場合は、スマートフォンを再起動してください。
The photo you mentioned from 2018 was made with a different camera. I know the ability to connect photos was removed but I wasn’t in the tour-making business anyways.
I was looking back at my photos I’ve uploaded and realized that I submitted some about two months ago and there weren’t any issues at that time.

These pictures are not edited, straight from the stitching software. Normally I would process them using Affinity Photo.
Somehow in the last two months, something happened and now the Street View no longer sees the GPS.

Maybe one of the monthly updates to my Pixel 4 phone broke the Street View app.

Thanks for all the replies, if I can’t get it to work correctly it’s no big deal. It’s just annoying If I have a bunch of photos and have to scroll across the country map to place a photo each time.

4月は正しく動作していたので5月のアップデートが影響している可能性が有ります。
「Send feedback」でこの事をGoogleの技術者に伝える事をお勧めします。
私のスマホは、Android 7.0、Street View app 2.0.0.447485744(最新) です。
不安定ですが、一応正常に動作しています。

@jberry I’m running the SV App under Android 12 and it works both with photo path and with my Theta V and has the coordinates.

情報の更新です。
私のAndroid 12スマートフォンで「No Location」と表示されるようになってしまいました。
Street View app は5月に更新した 2.0.0.447485744 です。
8月に360写真をアップロードした時には位置情報が表示されていましたので、その後のOSのセキュリティアップデートが影響したのかもしれません。
I could not get it to work on my pixel 4 phone. Tried many things, but gave up.
I used a android emulator on my PC for a short time but now i bought a Pixel 7 Pro and everything works normal again.
