The time between September and November every year happens to be a special time for the residents of Bengal, as a series of festivals take place during these months annually, marking the giant festive season of Bengal. This includes Biswakarma Puja, Ganesh Puja, Durgapuja, Laxmipuja, Kalipuja, Jagaddhatri Puja, Govardhan Puja and Kartik Puja. Lighting is a major part of the festivities, as gates are built across the main roads of the cities illuminated with electric miniature bulbs and LED bubbles in shape of different scenarios, paintings, architecture and complex designs. As I was roaming through the Kalipuja pandals of Amherst Street, Kolkata last night, I captured the below beautiful work of lighting artists on the road:-
