For tourists who want to visit the cultural village of Lingga can get directions, then just do it through google maps. My suggestion is that whenever you have arrived in the Village of Lingga to find the house. “Don’t stick on the google maps again”.
From my experience when visiting this place. I followed the google maps instruction and what I got was other people’s homes. So, when you arrive in The Village of Lingga. You should ask the local society about the location of the custom homes.
The local people use Bahasa Indonesia. I personally use Bahasa Indonesia when visiting there. Yet, in a chance, I asked to the man whom I asked to take a photo together with me, “Is there overseas tourist who has ever come here?”. “Not at all”, he answered.
Likely, The local people can also speak English or the overseas tourists come together with a guide. I can’t make sure about it. That’s my suggestion only.
Touring to the Village of Lingga is still rare or even never included in the tourist package, if they want to hire a guide. As mentioned above earlier, it’s suggested to visit Brastagi.
For those who are overseas tourists especially the one who plan to come to Brastagi, they can ask guidance from a travel agent to go to Lingga’s Village. While the tourists who are backpackers, they just activate their internet data package in Brastagi and google maps to get help.
