State Hermitage Museum in Saint Peterburg.

Hello dear friends,

Today -the International Museum Day and I would like to tell you about Hermitage Museum.

The Hermitage is one of the oldest and largest museum in the world.On this photo you can see the most beautiful building on the Palace square.This majestic building occupies 9 hectares and has about 1,5 thoudand rooms.

Pale green and white colors of the building give it special grace.Sculpture decorate the facade at the top.

The Impress loved to spend hours in solitude.So she called this museum Hermitage,from French-the hermit’s hut.

Along the Neva river this building stretches for 230 m,has 117

stairs,more than 2000 windows.

The museum collection is displayed in five historical buildings.

The Small Hermitage

The Old Hermitage

The New Hermitage

The Hermitage Theatre

The Hermitage has one of the greatest collection of the works of art and. the biggest museum in Ruddia.More them 3 million exhibit in this museum.The date of foundingthe Hermitage is considered the year 1764,when Catherine the Great 225 pictures brought to St.Petersburg.In 1863 ,the Hermitage become a public museum.

In Hermitage has more than 400 splendid rooms.

There are about 2500 paintings by famous artist .

You can see in Hermitage paintings by Leonardo Da Vinci,Raphael,Titisn,Rembrant,Rubens,Picasso,Monet,Van Gogh.

You can see cameos and germs,decorated clock ,object of gold and silver,porcelain,statues,antique vases,Tsars thrones.

The Hermitage collections increased thanks to the material and reseach expiditions.A special collection of the museum is callef “Gold Treasury”, which includes many items made of jewelary,from different countries,different epoch

Every day a lot of tourists from different countries visit the Hermitage

I agree the Hermitage is one of the great museums in the world. I especially loved seeing the Peacock clock. It’s a pity they only turn it on when they have a VIP visitor. It’s truly a wonder to see, I recommend everyone once in this life go see the Hermitage

Magnificent place, @helga19 ! Do you know if there are pieces from the amber room which, I believe has been reconstructed at the Ekaterina Castle?

It is huge museum… It takes several days to look around, I guess. Beautiful.

Estimada @helga19 , es impresionante este museo, la historia y las muestras de arte que tiene son un un gran legado para todos. Casi dos siglos y medio de historia circularon por sus paredes y tu nos los traes permitiendo acceder a esta ventana de tanta belleza, gracias por compartir, siempre es muy agradable leer tus post, esta tan lejos para muchos de nosotros esa parte del mundo, y que solamente con Local Guides tan dedicados como tu podemos llegar a conocer un poco.

Una sola sugerencia, dentro de lo posible serĂ­a muy agradable nos pudieses compartir un vĂ­deo de alguno de esos recorridos en horizontal, lo puedes hacer simplemente con tu mĂłvil.

Amber room is there only in Catherine Palace. It is magnificent after reconstruction.But it is not allowed to take a photo.

If I buy the ticket, is it valid for several days? When I was there, I gave up to enter, thinking about I could not finish to look in a half day…
