Some may remember when @AdamGT launched the Star Photo Tracking feature in 2022, followed by the Star Video Tracking feature at the end of 2023. These were supported by two well-written articles by @Mo_TravelleerX, and I followed them both very closely. These two features are accessible via the VIP Lounge on the Top 100 dashboard as seen below.
I usually update my Star info twice per month, and it is interesting to see the changes (or lack thereof) regarding the top photos and videos.
Tonight, only one of my top photos recorded a change in views since my last update, while the #11 photo now has more views than the current #10, which will therefore be knocked off the list. Also noted was that my top video now has more views than my #7 photo. On the video list, there were only three videos that did not record a change in view count.
I suspect the explanation for the above scenario is that the photos are older and many have been relegated to lower positions on the respective POI pages, while all my videos are much newer and are still attracting attention as relatively fresh material. Unfortunately, the newest photos (after February 7th 2024) gain views a lot more slowly, so they are not likely to replace the current Top 10 any time soon.
It would be very interesting to hear what other LGs are experiencing with regard to these two tracking tools.
