Stanton Moor Nine Ladies Stone Circle UK

I visited the nine ladies ancient stone circle in the Peak District part of England the site is very old and is a popular tourist site now mainly because it is free to visit and the park or moorland it is located in is very popular with hikers, bike riders and dog walkers.

The stone circle is a lot like a mini Stonehenge the name comes from the myth that the stones were nine ladies that danced on a Sunday and were turned into stone as punishment as dancing on a Sunday was forbidden at that time.
