Towards the entrance porch statue of St Francis is erected on a pedestal and it was erected to commemorate the seventh century after his death on October 4th, 1926 AD. He is the guardian Saint of the Church and it’s dedicated to the St Joseph.

This magnificent Roman Catholic cathedral’s foundation stone was laid on 3rd September 1871 AD, and it was consecrated on 11th February 1879 AD. Its architectural style is Italian which is marvelous. Its Interior is elegant and having many splendid sculptures. Remarkable workmanship made this church unique. Decorated ceiling, decorated Altar, Bishop’s seat, galleries, marble floor etc are enhancing the spiritual atmosphere.
Three special sculptures adorn the façade of the church, with Christ our Savior in the center and St Peter and St Paul on either sides. The bell tower of the church is magnificent and the clock provision was later made on the Church Bell’s upper stage. A big Cross enclosed by fencing is erected towards the Altar’s side façade.
It is open for special worship on Sundays from 6:30 am and visitors are allowed only interior photography is not allowed.
