I live and travel a lot in Asia and love to visit the many, many places of worship in this complex region. While not a religious person, I am always in awe of the beauty, details, dedication and diversity of places of worship. There is also a sense of serenity in a temple, church, mosque or other sacred building.
I like highlighting these on Google Maps as most travelers don’t have such attractions on their visit lists. Also for people to visit a holy site and see and hopefully understand that, despite the diversity in structures and deities, there is a common desire in humans for peace, happiness and a " good life".
Use Google Maps to visit a place of worship and appreciate the vast differences in structures but also the common desires for peace.
