Dear @renata1 also in Italy there is the dish and it is called stuffed peppers. It’s not a dish I eat because I can’t digest peppers, they’re heavy. Although I must say that I am not much of a vegetable eater, in fact until recently I only ate potatoes and peas. Now that I’m alone at home and I have to cook, I love preparing vegetables like ratatouille: I fry an onion cut into strips in olive oil, then I cut the carrots into small pieces and I fry them too, then I add tomatoes, courgettes, peas, a little water and cook for about 40 minutes, possibly with a little flavor like parsley, or basil, I also tried with turmeric. Salt is added as much as everyone prefers. It thus also becomes a base for many dishes that I prepare, for example for pasta with vegetables without adding anything else, or adding it to previously cooked tuna and blended with a little white wine, it is an exceptional dish. Or consumed as a side dish to other dishes and for those who are vegetarians as a single dish. I hope my culinary creativity doesn’t scare you !! A strong hug
@renata1 Your stuffed peppers look nice. I like them so much! Here is my receipt. It is a bit different from yours.
@TravellerG I know you also make stuffed peppers in India, read this link. But Indian receipt is absolutely different from Renata’s or my receipt and to tell you a truth I even could’t translate all ingredients. As far as i remember Indian variant is vegetarian. Anyways Renata’s peppers may also be vegetarian if you change meat for different vegetables for your taste.
Renata, you also will be interested in those Indian receipt :).
