Spanish-era Watchtower in Aloguinsan, Cebu, Philippines

Baluarte Park is located right behind the Aloguinsan municipal hall. This heritage site is a small landscaped hill where the ruins of a Spanish-period watchtower built during the early 1800s are located. The town Aloguinsan was then part of Pinamungajan town. It was made into a separate town by a Royal Decree of the King of Spain in 1886. Enjoy Cebu’s rich history! Love Philippines! This is a coastal town located in Southwestern Cebu. I hope the town can maintain its freshness. It needs further rehabilitation. #itsmorefuninthephilippines
