Spam places for product names and keywords Inbox
Hello Local Guides Connect. I discovered there are 2 places that take advantage of the business verification feature to change the company name to the product name and product keywords to ask Google to use this location: https://goo.gl/maps/pJsftyH7f4FQzafRA https://goo.gl/maps/DEPsF4dtXfdkmpxf6

Hi @paragon123
The first link you shared is now permanently closed. Is that correct?
Do you know about the redressal form? That is proabably what you need.
Cheers

Hi @paragon123
It would be really helpful if you would use the tagging tool when replying to someone here on Connect. Type @ followed by the username. Type slowly. Then we get an e-mail notification and you are more likely to get a prompt reply.
When a place is temporarily or permanently closed no edits will be accepted.
If the place is still operating you should not close it.
Did you check the redressal form?
Cheers
Morten

Hi @paragon123 ,
I see @MortenCopenhagen shared some great advice about your query.
I just want to let you know that I will change the topic of your post to How-tos to keep Connect organized. This is the place where you can ask questions, share tips and feedback about Connect and the Local Guides program.

I suggest google check and remove the business management rights of the above 2 locations and return the old name to that location. As far as I know the location is only listed with the business name, not the keyword in the location.

I’ve edited the deprecated name on I’ve closed the place’s name. The verified place and took advantage of that feature changed its name to the product keyword I reported on google business but they also did not use it.
