Spain-Gaudi the great architect

Hi,I visited Barcelona on May 2018 for, the weather was not hot and not cold. This was mostly an art museum visit for me and it was fascinating to see the Gaudi buildings! You must get reservation ticket to visit museums on internet if you buy from the museum it’s more expensive and you have to wait. And some days can be free but I don’t remember we already taken tickets before come to Barcelona because we don’t have time.

Casa Batlio One of the masterpieces of Spanish architect Antoni Gaudí. Today’s design was created by redesigning the previously built house in 1904. Gaudi himself restored the building.

Casa Mila Gaudi completed the construction of this building, where he brought his artistic fantasies to the peak, between 1906-1912. The building has been designed as a residence consisting of apartments and offices.

La Sagrada Familia (Holy Family) is a basilica that was taken over by Antoni Gaudi, who was in Barcelona, Spain and considered one of the pioneers of modern architecture, in 1883 but died in 1926 under a tram. The construction is still ongoing. It is also known as an unending church.

Hey @Deniz09 , thank you for your post and your advice about the tickets. Your photos look amazing. I wish I will have the opportunity to revisit Barcelona.

Which building won your heart over? For me, it was Pedrera or casa Mila. Another significant gem of Gaudi is Park Guell, did you visit it?

Hello @Deniz09 !
Thank you for sharing these wonderful photos and places from Barcelona. I also visited the city in 2018 in October and the weather was great for walks.

Antoni Gaudi is a unique architect and his works continue to inspire everyone from all over the world!
I visited the buildings you shared and they are uniquely beautiful.
My first visit to the city was in Park Guell, and this is one of the most beautiful and famous public parks in the world!
I will add some information about his death. After being hit by a tram, people did not recognize him because he looked like a homeless man and was placed in a hospital for poor, where he died of his wounds.

Here is a photo of the most popular view in the city.

Best regards!

Hi @VasT thank you very much I’m so happy that you liked my photos?

It’s very hard to say which building is most I liked.I really can’t choose because every building have a story and magic.Gaudi inspired nature so all the buildings are part of nature, the shapes, the colors, using light, stained glass…Great imagination and hardworking…So I loved all of them.

Yes of course I went to ParkGuell, great park and great city view. But I couldn’t visit the house in the park because of notime.
