These days I’m facing new (still small) issue on Google Maps.
I found some POIs that when I click on them, the system has connection issue for opening them. It also affects editing them and even by options under send feedback menu, I can not edit them. Note that this conditions is totally different from not editable places/boundaries those putted on the map from Map Maker.
In desktop when I click on the icon, it remains on an endless loading. If I have the link of POI from the past and I open it, the system shows error 500.
In app when I click on the icon or when I open its link, it shows “Can’t connect” error.
Some examples from different cities to see this problem is not related to one city:

I only add coordination link because I can not open POI to reach its main link.

2. “فروشگاه ورزشی-رزمی بهاره” that its name is descriptive but I can not open to edit:

Still I can not reach to add direct link and I only added link to coordinates.
4. This one (Mellat Park) is more strange, because its knowledge panel works, we can see it from English interface but from Persian interface of the Maps (changing language to Fa) we see error 500!
Other findings:
- I’m facing this issue, since nearly more than a week.
- First I thought it is a newly removed POI so I added it again, because it was a correct POI, but new added one, merged with old one and again shows error.
- This issue is for some few places in each area and not all places.
- I checked several cities and found some places with such problem.
- I asked from other friends in different cities and countries to check the places I sent them, and they repeated the error.
- I found that some places those marked as “Permanently Closed” have this problem. But some places wrongly marked as “permanently closed” and we should reach them to fix. Current condition cause wrong info remains on the map.
- Even searching the place on Web Search shows no knowledge panel of the POI, although previously it did.
- Searching on Maps for some categories also shows server error. For example the simple and very common phrase “Restaurant in Mashhad” shows server error.
It will be good if Googlers can take a look into this issue @TsekoV
