I am a Local Guide active in the Helsinki & Espoo & Vantaa areas, and I always write my reviews in Chinese. (For why I insist writing my reviews in Chinese while in Finland, please check one of my previously posted thread.)
A few days ago, someone reached out to me on Xiaohongshu and asked if I was the person who always take photos of the foods with a plush doll on Google Maps. He is also a Chinese person living in Finland. He told me that it is interesting to see that almost every single restaurant in Helsinki has a Chinese review written by me, and he has also mentioned that he considers my reviews more reliable and trustworthy than those written by Westerners (even the locals). Since almost all of my reviews were written in Chinese, they were always displayed on top by default when he browses restaurant reviews, as the default language of his Google Maps was set to Chinese.
I’m really glad that my reviews have genuinely helped someone, and I truly appreciate that someone has expressed gratitude to me.
