Singolla - Beautiful Village In Kashmir

Hello Friends, Greetings from Islamabad Pakistan.

After seeing some beautiful posts from @Rohan10 aboutBeauty Of Kashmir I thought that It would be great that I would share another part of Kashmir which is on the Pakistan Side, because I agree with Rohan that Kashmir is not less than a part of Heaven.

So I decided to explore a remote village of Kashmir, so I chose the village Singolla of this region, because I have a friend there. I visited this village in every season from last year and would like to share my experience. So last year i left Islamabad early in the morning in my car approximately 0700 hrs. After an hour of journey I stopped at a beautiful place to have some fresh air, the place is called Panjar Picnic point. It’s a very peaceful place, one can sit alone and enjoy nature. After 10 min I continued my journey without stopping and arrived at my destination after a journey of 4 hours.

Village Singolla is located in District Poonch, Kashmir. It is approximately 12 km from Rawalakot city and 126 km from Islamabad Pakistan. It’s a very beautiful village with lush green mountains, water falls, springs, streams and beautiful mountain tops.

Some Facts About Singolla Village:

  • Singolla Village is located 6565 feet’s above the sea level and it is a mountainous village.
  • In 2005 it was completely destroyed by a massive earthquake.
  • It has some very beautiful points which are worth visiting such as “Bilal Potha”.
  • Bilal Potha is a very beautiful mountain top, it’s a calm scenic point in the middle of district Poonch and district Bagh of Kashmir.
  • This point gives a panoramic view of bagh city and rawalakot city including the whole village Singola.

To reach this point there are two ways:

1st on foot and 2nd by vehicle, but as there isn’t any connecting road one has to walk about 20 min after stopping at the nearest stop.

It is such a relaxing place that one can forget everything just to enjoy nature.

So here I conclude that if there is a heaven on earth it’s “Kashmir” and it’s a land of hospitality.

In the next part I’ll try to show the beauty of Muzaffarabad as it is my next destination on the list.

In the end I would like to thank @KashifMisidia and Sir @ErmesT who guided me very well. I learned a lot from you, especially in my last post. Sir @ErmesT taught me to use my own photos in this way I can make my posts more useful. Here I am using all of my photos to show the beauty of Kashmir. One more thing I want to learn from Sir @ErmesT is how I can add a 360° photo in my Connect post.

Beautiful post @Aftab-A , your writing and posting skills are going great day by day.

I visited Muzaffarabad Kashmir in 1998 when I was 21 years old, after this visit, I had many trips to Northern Areas, but strange that I never had opportunity to visit Kashmir again. But after your post and some photos posted by @Sarbland and @Muhammad_Usman Bhai, now I’m desperately waiting for my next visit to Punjab or Islamabad, when I can visit Kashmir again InshaAllah.

Thanks for sharing such beautiful post

You have captured great shots, buddy. The atmosphere I can feel is very pleasant. You have written in a very nice way, which I could visualize. Very well presented post. Thank you so much for sharing with us buddy.

Just a small suggestion: if you could keep the photo size in LARGE, it would be great…or you can use HTML which is very easy. Thank you.

Beautiful post, @Aftab-A , thanks for sharing it and for tagging me.

Originality is the core value of every Local Guide, and is what makes every single content unique

I like the idea of the seasons at the end of the post. Long time ago I tried a series of four seasons along a river , and the result is always amazing.

Regarding adding a 360 photo in the post, this is unfortunately a function that it is available only to moderators. At the beginning of the community this option was open to every 360 photographer with an SVTP badge. There was some abuse, and I-frame was used to embed not permitted contents, wit a potential security risk. After that, Google made the painful choice to remove the ability of embedding 360° photos by SVTP
