Siddhārtha Gautama or Siddhattha Gotama, also called the Gautama Buddha

Buddha was a monk, mendicant, sage, philosopher, teacher and religious leader on whose teachings Buddhism was founded. Gautam Buddha was born as Siddhartha Gautam in Kapilvastu, Nepal around the 500 B.C. He is also known as the ‘Light of Asia’ and the “the Enlightened one”. Buddha, which meant one who is awake, is the title he received after getting enlighten.

I agree with @360mkt , this Buddha statue is very different from what I usually seem. He seems almost womanlike in this depiction, and a lot thinner than the more famous sculptures.

Do you know if there’s a reason for the statue to have been made this way?
