Hello friends,
During my Vadodara visit in July 2022, our Naresh Darji Ji introduced LG Ashish Desai to help me. As planned, he reached my hotel at 8 am (on the 9th) along with his son Dhairya Desai for exploring Vadodara. When I met them, I was carrying my Sony Alpa 6600 and Sony RX10 Mark 4 cameras along with me - the moment the boy saw the cameras, his face grew bright & he got very curious.
His father told me about Dhairya’s passion for photography & I could very well understand it right from his body language. We spent some time together and I found that his foundation of photography was solid. Later, I explained the basics of the Sony A6600 camera (with a 35 - 300 mm lens) and handed over the camera to him, after some test shots. I was amazed by his grasping power & zeal to learn.
Our first destination was Sayaji Baug Park & Zoo. I had to set up the camera/mode for different photography. But, the way he handled the camera showed his affinity for such gears - I found him quite comfortable handling such an advanced camera.
And, he was an active participant in our Science Park Meetup in Ahmedabad.
All these shots are captured by Jr. LG Dhairya (camera settings being guided by me).
Here is the first shot he captured from the Children’s Park:
Sir I already told you that you’re amazing @TravellerG .
The child inspired by your photography skills. You guide very well that’s the result here. All the photos are very perfect. I too need your guidance always
Indeed a charming boy with hunger to learn. We met him along with his family and our LG family at Ahmedabad Meet-up at Science City. He was very curious as well as focused. @TravellerG@ashishdesai24
I’ve quoted this before and it feels apt on this occasion, when the student is ready, the teacher will appear and this is what looks like to have happened inVadodara @TravellerG . From his excellent framing, no doubt one day he will be the teacher that appears and perhaps even will have become a Local Guide
Beautiful pictures @TravellerG and congratulations to you for making the mahabalipuram series as it is now the most famous tourist destination in india. Thanks for sharing it here .
