Shoutout to NY local guides for some recommendations

Hello New York City friends
My wife and I will be visiting New York City for a few days next month and I will be happy to receive some cool recommendations about the city and the area :cowboy_hat_face:
We normally love good views (viewing platforms and lookouts).
I love visiting historical landmarks and getting to know the local culture.

Things I know already we don’t want to miss:

  • visit iconic places: Statue of Liberty, Central Park, Ground Zero ETC.
  • Times Square and a Broadway show
  • Helicopter tour
  • A cooking class
  • A visit to central park (Maybe a pedicab guide or something similar)

Will be happy to receive some help with the itinerary for a week (7 days)
Finding the good places to eat, sleep, stroll, and of course tips about what we should order in advance and what is easier just to arrive.

Thanks

You have covered most of what I visited on my maiden tour @JoniG

I recommend reaching Times Square after sunset but before dark.

That is the best time to take photos.

Also before sunrise is the best time since there are fewer people in the photos.

I took a day tour bus, that again starts in Times Square and covers the most essential places.

After that, you can decide to go back to the place where you would like to spend more time exploring it in detail.

Wishing you an enjoyable trip to the Big Apple.
