It is Diwali in India.Time for shopping, sweets and firecrackers. In Bangalore, it is rule that fire crackers are to be sold only at places notified by the government. It is to be sold in open fi
elds and temporary metal sheds. It so happened some few years back, there was a devastating fire tragedy in one of the markets. That is the reason for the firecrackers to be sold only out in the open.I attach a few pictures of the temporary colourful stalls.
Thank you for mentioning @MoniDi . Diwali festival is for 3 days. The first day is celebrated as Naraka chaturdasi - the day Lord Krishna killed Narakasura, the second day Laxmi Pooja, the third day Balipandyami - King Bali was humbled by Lord Vishnu on this day. This time it was an extra holiday because of a Saturday.Diwali was on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. I picked up a gift pack of assorted crackers for my kids.Thank you for the link on how to take pictures at street markets, it definitely is helpful.
