It’s been two weeks since Connect Live Tokyo, and I’m still buzzing. I keep replaying moments in my head—the whole trip was such an eye-opener.
Honestly, the best part was finally meeting fellow Local Guides in person. For so long, you’re just names on a screen, so putting faces and real-life chats to those names was just awesome.
But this post is really a shout-out to the incredible women of the LG programme.
I mean, wow. Seeing you all speak on stage was one thing, but getting to just hang out and chat with you was something else. You all have this amazing, warm energy and are just so open with your stories and advice. You’re total trailblazers, not just finding cool new places but paving the way for everyone else. You’re fearless, unstoppable, and truly making a difference in your communities.
So, to every single one of you: thank you! You’re the heart of this community and you inspired me more than you know.
Keep on shining!
it’s my honour meet you in person @OliverKIWI many years just know you by name and post and connect live brigs us meet you in person in real life.
Thank you local guides. Hugs from Nyai
That’s right @OliverKIWI a week ago it still felt like a deep impression to be able to meet you and all of my Local Guides friends face to face…stay healthy, hopefully we can meet again next year. Warm Regards : Nissa
I’m still replaying moments from CL Tokyo, too. As a man, having discussions with women Local Guides was an eye-opener. What we sometimes consider safe for women isn’t always enough. Many factors and aspects contribute to them feeling comfortable and safe. I think I should discuss this topic more with the women in my life, not just my fellow Local Guides, but with my friends, too.
@OliverKIWI , your words mean so much! It was truly an honour to finally meet you in person after all this time. Connect Live Tokyo was unforgettable, and being surrounded by so many inspiring people:glowing_star:
