When and how did you become a Local Guide?
I joined the Local Guides community in 2017 after activating my Gmail account and using Google Maps. Since then, I’ve been passionate about contributing and sharing my experiences.
What inspires you to contribute to Local Guides Connect?
I love connecting with people and sharing my story. Through Local Guides Connect, I’ve built wonderful friendships with people who share similar interests and passions. It inspires me to keep contributing.
What is your favourite type of contribution? Why?
I enjoy reviewing hidden gems and new places. I believe that by sharing these experiences, I help boost the local economy and encourage more people to visit businesses that could greatly benefit from the attention.
How do you define leadership, and what does it mean to you?
Leadership is about taking action and guiding others with empathy. A leader isn’t just someone who gives orders but someone who leads by example, understands their team, and fosters unity to accomplish a common goal.
In what ways do you lead or make an impact outside of Local Guides Connect?
As a business owner, I offer help to new businesses or less-visited places by providing honest and constructive reviews. It’s incredibly rewarding when I see a place grow and thrive from the help I provided.
What keeps you motivated to lead and contribute?
The joy of helping others and the satisfaction of making a positive impact keep me motivated. I love seeing the tangible results of my contributions, like seeing a place I reviewed become more popular and bustling.
Who inspires you the most, and why?
Oprah Winfrey is my inspiration. She is independent, wise, and compassionate—qualities I strive to embody in my own life and contributions.
Have you faced any challenges? How did you overcome them?
I’ve faced challenges, but I always try to stay calm and focus on solutions. I believe in maintaining a positive mindset and resolving issues through clear communication and patience.
What message would you like to share with women around the world?
Women are the foundation of future generations. My message is to always work on improving yourself—emotionally, intellectually, and personally. Be strong, independent, and brave. You are capable of achieving great things and shaping the future.
